I'm Back!!!!

Wow! I cant believe its planting time again! So to catch you all up quickly as to why I did not have any more posts last year, I found out I was pregnant! I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do while pregnant. We had a little baby girl named Makenna, born Jan 20th 2012!
Our garden last year did not make it :(, we had ants move in and the would not go away! They ate everything BUT my Cheyenne peppers which my husband chopped up to me not thinking clearly when I said I HAD to have them! After I bought and planted them and they started to produce, my mind cleared and I asked him why he let me plant them because I had no reason to have them! I had no idea what to use them for and being pregnant I didnt want them so I did nothing with them. The color of red was pretty but thats all I did with them was looked at them!
Okay this year has started and our ground is tilled and we already have lettuce, onions, purple cabbage, collie flower and tomatoes planted.
We already learned a lesson this year!  Dont believe the weather man!!! It dropped in temps that tomatoes do not like......I have one perfect tomato plant out of 12......the others I am waiting to see if they will make a come back :( if not do you think I should send the dead ones to the weather man?!?!?!?! The plants look so sad, wilted leaves just hanging there!
I still have carrots to get into the ground and in April I will plant more veggies!
I also learned that tomatoes need calcium! Milk does the body good!!! Ok do not pour milk on your tomato plants, although maybe it would work Ill have to do some research on that!
I did find a product that has calcium in it! Ill post pictures of it and of the garden soon!
Our new thing that Im trying to do is Chickens!!! I have pestered my mom and dad (they have 2 acres) to do chickens for the last 3 years and finally mom has agreed to let dad and I go on this adventure! We bought to chicken books and are reading like crazy and planing on the right chicken coop for us! I will post pictures as soon as we get started......My parents and my little family are going up to Kansas for a couple of days and when we get back, Dad and I will get started! My oldest girl is so excited and keeps asking her papaw to get baby chickens for her! She is now 2 1/2 and I think this will be fun for her!
Well I have to go baby is waking up!
Remember Pictures are coming soon!!!
